HOMEMADE GRANOLA


The granola is prepared in the oven is a mixture of oats, nuts, spices and sweeteners (natural) the mixture is left in the oven until the oatmeal becomes crunchy. It is recommended that dried fruits (raisins, cranberries) are usually put at the end so that they do not dry out too much or burn.

A good homemade granola is a delicious variation to industrial breakfast cereals, which surely many consume. If we do it at home it will be healthier and to our liking. And we can graduate the content of sugars as we deem appropriate.

RECIPE OF GRANOLA CASERA

INGREDIENTS:

  • 150 g of oatmeal (whole grains)
  • 50 g of almonds (or other nuts that you like)
  • 30 g of seeds (sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, etc.)
  • 30 g of coconut flakes
  • 150 g grated coconut
  • 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • One cda. of sunflower or coconut oil
  • 20 ml of honey
  • A good handful of dried fruits to taste (raisins, blueberries, etc.)

ELABORATION:

  • We weigh the solid ingredients in a bowl: the oat flakes, the almonds or nuts, the seeds and the coconut. And stir to mix.
  • We add cinnamon and salt; we mix again.





  • We measure the honey in a measuring jug, add the coconut oil or the oil that we have chosen. We can heat very briefly in the microwave so that the honey becomes more fluid.





  • We mix all the solid and liquid ingredients very well that everything is uniform.
  • We put the granola in a tray to ornear with a waxed paper and put in the oven.
  • We bake the granola at 140ºC (with air) / 160ºC (without air) for 20-25 minutes, stirring with a fork every 10 minutes so that it does not get stuck.




  • finally we remove the granola from the oven and let it cool completely and proceed to place the dried fruits.


The granola has a very addictive crijidito, I consume the granola in the morning before in the university because that way it helps me recharge my batteries and also when I get those ganita of you eat something between meals. and we already see that making our granola at home is very simple and more healthy, since usually the granola of supermarkets contain a high amount of sweeteners and sometimes fruits that are not to our liking.
